Sri Narasimha Ashtakam is the Slokam in praise of and as prayer to Sri Narasimha, the fourth incarnation of Sri Maha Vishnu.
Sri Narasimha Ashtakam contains eight stanzas each describing the attributes and compassion of Sri Narasimha Swamy. The benefits of the chanting the Slokam are given in the last added stanza.
Sri Narasimha Ashtakam is said to be composed by Sri Vijendra Tirtha, the Madhva Saint.
Sri Narasimha Ashtakam is presented in Devanagari and English scripts with a simple English translation.

You have the mane of the lion. You are lovable. You bestow protection. You are the epitome of compassion. I am immersed in the ocean of worldly life. You have destroyed the demon (Hiranyakasipu).

With Your sharp nails, You have shredded the Demon Hiranyakasipu. The spurted-out blood made Your holy chest appear as if it was smeared with Kumkum. You are the revered and the knowledgeable. You are the temple of Kamala, Sri Mahalakshmi. I sincerely offer my prayers to You. You provide shelter to the best of persons.

Kindly put Your dazzling lotus feet on my head. Your holy feet were touched by the ornaments of the crown of the Gods when they bowed down to You and worshipped You. You are in the hearts of Yogis and Sages. You are revered in the Vedic scriptures and Nigamas. Your holy feet are splendorous.

You have the eyes resembling lotuses. During my end days, when my senses are in anguish and I am facing difficulties, please provide Your darshan and listen to me with Ramaa, Your consort and with Garuda, Your vahan.

Your jewels are sparkling and Your entire holy body is the supreme and ultimate provider of protection and shelter to those who sincerely worship You.

The moon, the sun and the fire are Your eyes. You are the consort of Ramaa (Sri Mahalakshmi). Your mighty shoulder is embellished with the holy wheel. Your appearance can never be defied. Let my mind constantly dwell on your enchanting appearance. Indra and other Devas always worship You.

You are the Lord of the Gods. You are the root cause of all the causes. Please protect me. I wish to spend my life chanting all of Your holy names.

The persons who sincerely and devoutly read and recite these eight slokams shall be freed from the fears. All their desires will get fulfilled. Their enemies will vanish. Their deceases will get cured. They will attain the holy abode of Sri Narasimha at Sri Vaikunt where the Lord reclines on Adi Sesha.
