Sri Shiva Sthuthi is the Slokam in praise of and as prayer to Lord Shiva.
Sri Shiva Sthuthi contains ten stanzas each describing the attributes of Lord Shiva. The Slokam is presented in Devanagari and English Scripts with a simple English translation.
वन्दे शम्भुमुमापतिं सुरगुरुं वन्दे जगत्कारणं
वन्दे पन्नगभूषणं म्रुगधरं वन्दे पशूनाम्पतिम्

Humble Salutations to Lord Shiva who
-is Shambhu, the benevolent;
-is the consort of Sri Uma Devi;
-is the Guru of the Devas;
-is the root cause and the reason behind the existence of the universe;
-adorns the snakes as the ornaments;
-wears the hides of animals;
-is the Lord of the animals;
-has the Sun, the Moon and the Fire as His three eyes; and
-is adored by Sri Mukundha, Lord Vishnu.

-wears the snakes as the ornaments; and
-is in the Chin Mudra (as Sri Dakshinamurthy).

-is beyond the beginning and the end;
-is wonderful; and
-diminishes the evil forces.

-makes enormous noise;
-sits on the mountains (Kailash);

-makes the enemies quiver;
-had Sri Brahma as the Sarathy for His Chariot;
-had destroyed the three Puras; and
-is Sri Kala Bhairav, the God of time.

-has the crescent moon and the river Ganga on his head;
-wears the Vibhthi in three lines on His forehead; and
-is adored and loved by all the Devas.

-had diminished Yama;
-usurps the heart;
-keeps the halahala in His throat;
-holds the instrument mrudam;
-has the matted hair;
-is the redeeming recourse to all;
-always showers His compassion as the nectar;
-has pacified Sri Narasimha;
-is sincerely worshipped by people and Devas;
-is prayed for His lotus feet; and
-has parted with the left portion of His body to Sri Uma Devi.

-binds the celestial goblets and warriors and is the Lord of them;
-blesses the beneficial boons to His devotees;
-is beautiful and handsome;
-is resplendent as the Sun;
-blesses moksha; and
-holds the trident.

-wears the directions as garments.
