Sri Amba Pancha Rathnam is the Slokam in praise of and as prayer to Sri Parvathi Devi. The Slokam describes Her attributes as the protector.
Sri Amba Pancha Rathnam was composed by Sri Adi Sankaracharya. It contains five stanzas praising Sri Amba. The benefits of chanting of this Slokam are given at the end.
Sri Amba Pancha Rathnam is presented in Devanagari and English Scripts with a simple English translation. The Slokam is also known as Sri Amba Panchakam.

Sri Amba is the sister of Sri Vishnu who had killed the demon Sambara. Her face is as bright as the full moon. Her lips are as red as bimba fruits. She is soft spoken. She always does auspicious deeds. She lives in the forest having kadamba trees. She exists in the core, meaning and the form of the mantra syllable ‘’Hreem’’. Her mid part looks good and auspicious.

Sri Amba is auspicious. She has pretty mane. She is Kathyayani, the daughter of Sage Kathyayana. She is Kalika, the Goddess of time. She is Kaala, the Goddess of darkness. She has mantras commencing with the syllable Ku attributed to Her. She has lovable eyes. She bestows compassion. She is like the fire which destroys the effects of bad deeds.

Sri Amba adorns golden armlets, garlands and ear ornaments which are incomparable with a crore crowns. She is as resplendent as the crores and crores of Gods of love. Her heart is like the pot of nectar full of compassion. She wears golden silk with the shade of red. She likes to reside in Kailash.

Sri Amba had destroyed the demons like Shumba and Nishumba. She is the object of chanting for Her devotees. She is the lotus like eyes of Sri Vishnu. She is the pure ultimate supreme knowledge and wisdom. She had destroyed demons such as Madhu, Kaidapa and Mahishasur.

Sri Amba is the Goddess of education. She is the Goddess who is not easily discernable. She is the primary Goddess. She is Durga, the Goddess of valor. She is Jaya, the Goddess of success. She is Chandika, the destroyer of the demons Chanda and Munda. She is the lovable kid. She is the consort of Lord Shiva, who had burnt the three maya cities. She is the love of Lord Shiva. She is the royal Goddess of King of Kings. She is the empress. She had sent Lord Shiva as the messenger. She is praised by the Vedas and the scriptures. She is like the precious gem.

The person who sincerely reads and recites this Sri Amba Pancha Rathnam day and night shall be blessed with excellent wealth, long life, good knowledge, education and wisdom, good spouse and liberation with a place in the abode of God at the end.
