Sri Siddhi Lakshmi Jayanthi is the festival observed in prayer to and worship of Sri Siddhi Lakshmi Devi, one of the twelve manifestations of Dwadasha Siddhividhya Deities.
It is believed that the twelve Deities worshipped for seeking immediate fulfillment of the wishes are reverently named as Dwadasha Siddhividhya Deities. They are also grouped.
Sri Kubjika and Sri Parvathi are considered as Sri Paschimambai;
Sri Annapurna and Sri Saraswathi are considered as Sri Purvambai;
Sri Chandika is considered as Sri Utharambai; and
Sri Siddhi Lakshmi, Sri Bathuk Bhairav, Sri Dakshina Murthy, Sri Gayathri, Sri Vindhya Vasini, Sri Aparajitha and Sri Bala are considered as Sri Urdwambai.
Sri Siddhi Lakshmi Jayanthi is observed on the Shukla Paksha Ekadashi of Vaisakha month.
The ensuing Sri Siddhi Lakshmi Jayanthi occurs on Monday, 27th April 2026. The respective regional almanac / panchang are to be referred for ascertaining the exact duration of the Ekadashi Tithi.
The term Siddhi refers to accomplishment of one’s endeavors; Lakshmi refers to attainment of material affluence.
After morning rituals and bath, the Devotees offer dhyanam and puja to the Deity; beej mantras such as mool mantras are chanted; flowers and fruits are offered to the Deity; meditation is done; some devotees observe fasting on that day.
Chanting of Sri Suktham and Sri Lakshmi Sahasra Namam on this day are said to be beneficial. Some devotees also do yagna / havan invoking Sri Lakshmi Devi.
Sincere worship to Sri Siddhi Lakshmi is believed to bestow eight types of affluence such as wealth, foodgrains, good health, progeny, knowledge, good luck, success and moksha.
